About Us

Live Interactive Fictional Entertainment is a project created by Christian and Janna Roule whose mission is to deliver an extraordinary gaming experience to players and fans everywhere. It started as a simple idea in 1996, to provide an alternative to the lackluster LARPs that were available - and it grew to encompass entertainment in movies, video games, and online games, as well as live-action games.

Today, the partnership of the Roules has spanned more into electronic mediums, focusing more on the video games and digital productions than live-action events. However, their roots in live-action games, and their fans from those games, will never be forgotten. What started out as a simple idea has blossomed into a fabulous network of many wonderful people. And those people will never be forgotten.

Christian Roule

Christian Roule became involved in live-action gaming during High School, finding both it and creative writing to be positive outlets for his artistic desires. He remained a consummate player, though, until he met Janna McGill in 1996 and the two of them, together, formed L.I.F.E. and its flagship event, Animania. Ever since then, Christian Roule has dedicated himself to his storytelling craft. Even when he concentrated on the IT industry, getting a Bachelors in Computers, he never lost sight of his true passion - entertainment.

In 2005, he fled with Janna McGill, now his fiancé, to Houston in the wake of Hurricane Katrina. His past home and life destroyed, Christian Roule started his own life, as well as L.I.F.E., anew. Going back to school and getting his second Bachelors in Game Design. From that point onward, Christian began to change the focus of L.I.F.E. from live-action to video games, releasing Lost Legacy and then Threshold. He and Janna were married in December of 2005.

Today, Christian has his eyes firmly set on the future, a future he is building in video games and digital productions. By combining his three loves - video games, creative writing, and art - Christian is able to put his passion and emotion into everything that he creates.

Janna Roule

Janna McGill became involved in live-action gaming during College, when she was getting her Bachelors in Business, finding it to be a positive outlet for her creativity and desire to perform. She only roleplayed on occasion, though, until she met Christian Roule in 1996 and the two of them, together, formed L.I.F.E. and its flagship event, Animania. Janna concentrated her efforts into the organizing of L.I.F.E.'s events, utilizing her knowledge of Business to organize Christian's ideas. However, her foremost passion was one of entertainment, and even when she got her Masters of Business, her main focus was on providing enjoyment for the fans.

In 2005, she fled with Christian Roule, now her fiancé, to Houston in the wake of Hurricane Katrina. Needing a new focus on life, and deciding that L.I.F.E. needed a new focus, Janna supported the development of both of Christian's video games, Lost Legacy and Threshold. Not only did Janna support Christian, she actively helped him, and came to the realization that she, like Christian, loved designing video games. She and Christian were married in December of 2005.

Today, Janna has firmly chosen a future where she and her husband can work together to produce high quality stories in an electronic medium. Applying her logical business mind to her creative passions, Janna Roule boldly moves forward to the future.

And many more!
